PH13-8Mo Stainless Steel
PH13-8Mo, UNS S13800, is a high strength martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel produced by VIM+VAR double vacuum melting. It contains 12.25% to 13.25% chromium, 7.5% to 8.5% nickel, 2.0% to 2.5% molybdenum, 0.90% to 1.35% aluminum, and carbon limited to ≤0.05%. Aging precipitates β-NiAl and carbides to balance strength and toughness. The source also describes corrosion resistance, including marine stress corrosion resistance, high temperature stability, and use in aerospace, nuclear, and petrochemical equipment.
