Inconel 601
Inconel 601 is a nickel chromium aluminum alloy containing about 60% nickel, 23% to 25% chromium, and 1.0% to 1.7% aluminum. Aluminum promotes a dense Al₂O₃ oxide layer at high temperature, supporting oxidation and carburization resistance. The alloy has good creep strength below 870℃, while the source lists continuous service up to 1100℃. It also resists nitric acid, sulfur bearing gases, and high pressure steam, and provides resistance to stress corrosion cracking in the stated service conditions.
