Inconel 600
Inconel 600 is a nickel chromium iron solid solution alloy with ≥72% nickel, 14% to 17% chromium, and 6% to 10% iron. It resists high temperature oxidation and corrosion in nitric acid, sulfur bearing gases, and high pressure steam. Its resistance to non oxidizing hydrochloric and sulfuric acid is better than pure nickel but lower than molybdenum bearing alloys. The source lists oxidation resistance above 1100℃ and continuous service below 980℃, together with thermal strength, creep resistance, workability, and weldability for high temperature and mildly corrosive service.
