Hastelloy C22
Hastelloy C22 is a nickel based corrosion resistant alloy with about 56% nickel, 22% to 24% chromium, 12.5% to 14.5% molybdenum, and 2.5% to 3.5% tungsten. Carbon is limited to ≤0.015%. The alloy resists oxidizing and reducing acids, mixed acid systems, pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It is used in chloride bearing chemical processes, alkylation equipment, flue gas desulfurization systems, and pharmaceutical equipment. The source lists continuous service up to 1000℃ and conventional TIG or MIG welding with controlled heat input.
